FAST TRACK TO PARTNER: Senior Manager, Accounting / Tax
Senior Managers are responsible for directing several engagements simultaneously or sometimes a single large engagement supervising the Senior Accountants assigned to the specific engagements. They also consult with Partners and client executives and are expected to develop a rapport with those client executives on business matters. Senior Managers are the liason between the Partner, the client and the staff. They are responsible for all phases of an engagement by using their talents in staff management and by projecting and planning the timing of the work load in coordination with the Human Resources Department. Senior Managers are expected to promote the most efficient operation of the Firm. They should schedule preliminary work at times which most advantageous to the client and the Firm. Staff training is one of their most important responsibilities. They should assist in recruiting, developing training aids, and act as discussion leaders in professional development programs.
The role of Staff Accountant is responsible for hands-on, day to day accounting, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, tax filings, and all other related accounting responsibilities and special projects.
The Tax Supervisor role will monitor compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations while governing a team to prepare tax returns, perform estimations, analysis, planning, and processing.
